Sustainable Development Promotion Committee

To align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and effectively integrate sustainability affairs across administrative and academic units to construct a sustainable campus, our University established new “Chung Yuan Christian University Sustainable Development Promotion Committee Guidelines” in 2023. In August, the “Chung Yuan Christian University Sustainable Development Promotion Committee” was formed, with the president serving as the convener, a sustainability director as the executive officer, eight ex officio members, seven internal members, and two external advisors. The committee’s tasks include:

1. Formulating sustainable development goals and strategies for the University.

2. Supervising and reviewing the implementation and outcome reports of sustainable development and University social responsibility plans.

3. Promoting international initiatives related to sustainable development.

4. Integrating and promoting sustainable development initiatives and practices across units.

5. Reviewing sustainable development reports and University social responsibility reports.

6. Planning other matters related to sustainable development and University social responsibility.
