Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) operates several wastewater treatment facilities on campus, including those at the Faith & Truth Dormitory, Dickson Lee Hall, the Chemistry Building, and the Liang-Shan Dormitory. Domestic wastewater from high-rise student dormitories such as the Faith & Truth Dormitory is carried through dedicated pipelines to the treatment plant. There it is purified and filtered into reclaimed water, which is pumped back up to the dormitory water towers and used for toilet flushing, landscape irrigation, and air-conditioning cooling.
