To promote Chung Yuan Christian University’s philosophy of holistic education, the Feng Ya Song Music Center hosts more than thirty arts and cultural events each semester, all free and open to the public. Besides supporting students’ professional development, the events are meant to deepen their appreciation of art and culture. The Center invites musicians to perform on campus, which enriches the aesthetic sensibilities of faculty and students and creates a lively artistic atmosphere. Because performers interact closely with the audience and offer engaging, accessible explanations, classical music feels approachable rather than distant or esoteric.
