SDG 12.3.1 Waste tracking

Under the government’s Enforcement Rules of the Waste Disposal Act, implementing agencies must report the previous month’s volumes of general waste disposed of, treated, and recycled to their supervisory authorities by the 15th of each month, and to the central competent authority for the record.

(1) General waste is handled and measured by the University’s General Affairs Office.

(2) Hazardous waste at the University is divided into medical waste and laboratory waste. Qualified waste disposal contractors are hired each month to dispose of it, and the volumes generated and stored are reported online as required by law.
